The year is 1966, and the world had become focused on a collective expansion into space. With peace finally obtained after a terrible war with the Zentraedi, technology had prospered and the world was advancing at an alarming rate.
The departure of the Megaroad 1, and the near completion of the first space colony among others, the most developed nations of the world had decided that the world needed a unified front to take on the final frontier. It was with this, with the UN at its center, the Earth Federation was formed. However, not all the nations of Earth saw this new unification as favorable organization to become part of. And now, the motion has been put through by the prominent nations to begin the forced inclusion of nations unwilling to comply with the Federation.
-In the Apennine Mountain Range, Italy-
The blazing orb burned the Italian soil, while slight breezes rustled the grasses that covered the lower slopes of Corno Grande. Numerous oak trees ended at a line leading up the mountain, while multiple pits now dotted the side of the mountain. Boulders were being split apart by machinery, while other surfaces of rock were being scanned by men and women alike, all protected from the unbearable heat by gigantic, rimmed hats and extremely light shirts and blouses.
