Rei held on tight, she wasn't used to the force that was put upon her by the mech traveling really fast. North America huh? She know knew where the base of this UN was located. Maybe being a hostage wasn't so bad. She could easily gather up information to send to Orb.
It was at that moment Maverick did a barrel roll. Rei was caught off gaurd as she was thinking of her plan to escape if the enemy base proved to be a problem. She gripped onto Maverick's chair even harder.

Maverick laughed as he felt something tighten behind his chair and back to see Rei holding tightly to his chair, "Well isn't this a surprise? I didn't expect my opponent to be so fragile." He commented with a smile as pushed the joystick forward roughly and went into a steep drop.
The canopy began to glow brightly as they entered into Earth's atmosphere, and the tip of the nose began to heat up as the went down further and further.

"Well maybe because I'm not secured or anything.....or perhaps that we are going REALLY FAST." It was true, Rei hadn't bothered to sit properly when she entered, as she was more interested in Maverick's mech. She had seen Maverick's speed in action, but now that she was in the mech itself it was an entirely different matter. "I don't understand how you can tolerate this. What if you smash into something when you are going this fast? The force could kill you correct?"

"OH DEFINITELY!!!" he yelled over the deafening noise that came from the reentry process as his YF-19 began to shake. "Fortunately, I know the secret to getting passed that!" he continued as he began to align his mech so that it was falling to the planet evenly and not in one particular point.

Rei was definitely glad she had a helmet on. The noise was now really loud. Now that the craft was shaking she felt like she was a popcorn kernel in a popcorn machine. Perhaps not strapping down was not a good idea. She would feel the pain later, she was sure. Her back hit a part of the metal mech, Rei winced. Feeling around with her right hand, she found what she took to be restraints, that she gladly fastened around her persona to keep from getting thrown against the mech again.

"Yes Rei, the secret to NOT crashing...is making sure that nothing is there for you to hit." He said with another laugh as the shaking began to grow less and less troublesome, with the noise dying down as well. Pushing the nose of his YF-19 upward, Maverick began to feel the pressure of Gravity as they began to perform a free-fall back to earth.
"Good to be home," he commented as he began to reignite the thrusters. Moving the fighting around, Maverick began to spin the fighter around as they fell. With the canopy pointed towards the ground, he pushed the throttle forward and performed a loop as he turned the fighter right-side up, the after burners creating a small streak through the sky.

"You are quite the show off aren't you?" Rei stated as they performed the loop. "So tell me where exactly in North America are we landing? Is there a ship of some sort?" Sakurazaki was quite interested in this UN faction and was interested to see the talent of their pilots.

As Maverick started to reply to Rei, a loud continuous beeping noise caught his attention. "Well..." he said in a glum tone of voice. "Well, well, well...this certainly puts a snag in my plans." he continued as he sighed loudly.
"You'd better brace yourself Rei, we're gonna be in a little bit of trouble here..." he told her as he began to pull back on the thruster and lower his altitude.

Rei had noticed the beeping noise. "What do you mean trouble?" She tried looking around for any suspicious activity. "Are you saying that your mech is faulty or something? Or are we being attacked by something?"

"Oh nothing dangerous like that!" He said in a cheerful voice as he did another barrel roll, taking his craft even lower. "We're about to make an emergency landing due to low fuel."
With that, he titled the nose of the fighter downward as they plunged to what looked like a a good 50 kilometers of forest. "There!" he said as he nodded to a small clearing. Switching to GERWALK mode, he brought his YF-19 closer to the trees before switching to Battaroid mode and landing hard on the grassy plains. "Well...I guess it could of been worse." he said as he brought his mech to a kneeling position.

Switching to GERWALK mode, Maverick brought his YF-19 down to a dense part of a forest below them before switching to Battaroid mode and landing. Bringing his mech into a kneeling position. "I'm afraid we're running low on fuel." He replied with a sigh.
"All because everyone wants to take a shot at me." He said jokingly as the cockpit opened. Grabbing a rappel-wire, he began to rappel his way down to the ground. "Trust me when I say we're nowhere near North America..."

"Great." Disgruntled, Rei unbuckled herself from the restraints and instead of using the rappel-wire Maverick had used to get down, she gracefully jumped, performing a flip and landed softly on the ground. She looked around at the terrain, Maverick was right, they weren't in America. "Where in the world are we Maverick?" After the whole eventful day, Rei had completely lost her sense of directions. Maverick's flying was certainly exceptional, but the many loops and barrel rolls didn't help the headache Rei had gotten from the intense battle between them.

"Well err..." he paused for a moment, wondering if he should tell her or not. "From the readout's I've confirmed that we're in.....France." He told her as he took off his helmet, revealing his dark brown hair and dark blue eyes. Grinning at her, he winked. "I hope you like Escargo!"

"THAT'S WAY OFF COURSE BAKA!!!!" Rei hit him over the head with a gloved hand. "I thought you said we were going to NORTH AMERICA!!!!" Rei took off her helmet in frustration, her silver hair spilling out from the helmet. Her red eyes glared at Maverick. "Now what are we going to do? We certainly can't just walk over to North America, now can we. Unless we can get your mech up into the sky again."

Maverick winced as he rubbed the back of his head, "Ow...that really hurts!" Looking up, Maverick looked at the sky above and smiled despite the pain. "It's a beautiful day today..." Unzipping the top half of his jump suit, Maverick tied the arms around his waist and brushed off his black t-shirt. "I hear it can be really hot around here," He warned Rei as he stretched. "Last I checked on my YF's system, Paris should be close by. I know that they have a UN base somewhere around that area. It's only a mile or two away from this forest."
Crossing his arms behind his head, Maverick began to walk forward before stopping suddenly. Turning around he looked at Rei again, "I didn't know I had such a looker trying to kill me." he said jokingly as he winked at her and turned around laughing. "Alright, let's go."

Rei looked the other way, a slight blush on her cheeks. "Tch. I knew that." She quickly took off the top half of her flight suit, a simple black tanktop was underneath and proceeded to tie the arms around her waist like Maverick. "Although hopefully the trees will provide shade." She looked at him. "Shall we get moving?"

Maverick whistled as he continued to move forward, "If we move quickly enough, we'll make it there within the next two hours." Looking up, he saw that the sky was darkening. "Lucky us, it'll probably be night before we hit the town. Maybe after we hit the UN building we can get some moolah and get some French bread or something."

"I see..." Rei frowned in thought. The UN base....where they will keep me hostage for a while no doubt. But since night is coming, I might be able to take him down.... She still had her knife with her as well.

As the sun went down, the noise and lights of the city of Paris gradually came into view. As Maverick walked up a hill he looked down to see the city below and sighed. "Well, the city of Paris. Not one sign of the war has shown here so far." he noted as he took in the many lights surrounding the city.
"Well c'mon Rei. We're close!" He said as he pointed to a tall building near the middle of the city. "Once we're there, we'll be okay."

"Paris huh..." Sakurazaki looked around at the city. People were bustling onto the streets, going on about their daily lives. The war indeed had not affected these people. Surrounded by them, Rei wondered what it would be like if there was no fighting. Sakurazaki snapped back into focus as Maverick pointed at a building. "What are we running from exactly?"
